A: Hi, I’m sorry to be late.
嗨，很抱歉，我迟到了。
B: What happened? You were supposed to be here an hour ago.
发生什么事了吗？你应该1小时前就来了。
A: Yes, I know, but I missed my flight.
是的，我知道，但是我错过了航班。
B: You missed your flight? How did that happen?
你错过了航班？怎么回事？
A: I got on the wrong bus this morning, so I was late to the airport. By the time I arrived, the gate was closed.
今天早上我坐错公交车了，所以我去机场迟了。我到的时候，安全门已经关上了。
B: What did you do then?
那你怎么办？
A: I had to rebook my flight and get on the waiting list.
我只能改签机票，进入候机名单。
B: Oh, that’s too bad. At least you got here.
哦，真糟糕，不过还好你到了。
A: Yes, it wasn’t easy getting on the next flight. I had to run to the gate.
是的，登上下一班飞机也不容易，我不得不跑到安全门。
B: This kind of thing happens a lot lately. Last week I missed a flight, too.
这种事最近比较多，上周我也错过了航班。
A: What happened?
怎么了？
B: There was a traffic accident near the airport.
机场附近发生了一起交通事故。
A: You were driving?
你开车？
B: No, I wasn’t. I was in a taxi. But it took a long time to get to the airport. The traffic was stopped for nearly 15 minutes. By the time I got there, it was too late to get on the flight. The next flight wasn’t for another 3 hours, so it was a long wait. From now on, I’ll try to get to the airport much earlier.
我没有，我在出租车上。但是去机场花了很长时间，交通停顿了将近15分钟。当我到那里的时候，已经太晚了，不能上飞机了。下一班飞机要过3小时才起飞，所以等了很长时间。从现在开始，我得尽量早点到机场。
A: Me too.
我也是。
