Today is Saturday.

When the dragon heard that St. George would come to slay him, he didn't want to fight against the knight. He implored the boy to arrage the whole thing. Although the boy did want to watch the fight, he didn't want lose his friend either. He went back to the village in a great state of despondency. There would never be a fight and his dear and honored friend hadn't shown up in quite such a heroic light as he would have liked, and lastly whether the dragon was a hero at heart or not, it made no difference, for St. George would most undoubtedly cut his head off. The villagers were straggling homewards as he passed the street, all.of them highly-spirited discussing the coming exciting fight. St. George sat alone in the inn, musing over the chances of the fight, and the sad stories of rapine and of wrong that had been poured into his sympathetic ears. The boy went in the room and told the saint that he had something about the dragon to talk to the saint.
