One wall of the kitchen was knocked down to link this space with the living room, giving this house a sense of integrity and transparency. A new window was added between the previous one and the glazed door to warm the new dining table near it. Curtains were stalled on the windows and the glass door, thus safeguarding the privacy of the house owner. The bar table was transformed into one with a wooden base and then was moved to a place in parallel with the cupboards.

The changes also include the lighting and the flooring. The two new pendant lamps replaced the old ceiling lamps, casting elegant light on the bar table. A line of spotlights were stalled to shine the utensils on the dish rack. The flooring changed from tile to wood--the same texture as the base of the bar table. Potted plants were used to add fragrance and vitality--one on each table and one on the dish rack. Landscape paintings and portraits were hang on the wall above the sink, making dish washing more of an artistic work and the kitchen a gorgeous place to chat with friends and family members.
