How to write a good argumentative essay

Summary of "Improve your essay writing" by Kevin Delaplante.

There should be 5 logical parts.(not necessarily 5 paragraph.)

       1) An introduction.

       2) An complete argument of my thesis.

       3) An objection of the argument above.

       4) Replay to the objection above.

       5) A conclusion.

More specially:

1. Introduction should include:

     1) Tell the reader what we are arguing about, provide knowledge of the subject.

     2) The main thesis, that is my point and position on the subject.

     3) Provide the road map of argumentation.(OPTIONAL)

2. The argument of main thesis should include:

    Two or more premises (Assumptions)

3. The objective argument should include:

     Question the premises or logic of main argument, concluding that your main argument is a bad argument.

4. Reply to the objection should include:

      Attack the premise or logic of the objection, concluding that the objection is a bad objection.

5. Conclusion should include:

      Summarize of the main thesis, summarize of the argumentative moves.

Tricks and skills:

Be aware of unstated premises.

Use counterexample to attack objection.

Analysis objection with sufficiency and necessity.
